I just realized that once I graduate with my master in urban planning I will actually need to pick a city to move to and take a job.
Are there any resources out there to tell me what cities are like? I want to see demographics, a little social history, whether it has universities, diversity rating and DEFINITELY know if they are a city that is growing (and needs economic developers like myself).
I know these probably wont all be in the same place, but all help is appreciated.Looking to move: Any good guide to American cities?
This is one of my favorite websites ...

You just fill out the quiz and it gives you about 10 cities to look into ... it's really cool!Looking to move: Any good guide to American cities?
This is a pretty good site:
http://www.city-data.com/
Just type in the city name and it will give you a lot of information on the city.
Good luck!
