When I go out for a night of drinking I don鈥檛 hold back. However, this past weekend I became so intoxicated I was disoriented. Even worse, I had no perception where I was and almost got hit by a car. Its not that easy ';you drunken bum';, these dogs are highly trained, and they have to be trained and or exposed with potential owners so they can bond with each other, and you have to put your whole trust into this dog, and being drunk, I bet you can't even trust yourself, much less a dog that will give its life for you. Call a cab and let these dogs work for someone who truly deserve them.

I think you have to be legally blind to get a dog like that, but hey try it out. One time I parked like 5minutes away and got a ride to the bar, and then I had to walk back to my truck. It took me almost 3 hours to remember where I was. I think I could use a dog to....
The Guide Dog is a great idea!! Not only will it accomplish your tasks, but it will be a great babe magnet.
You will encounter difficulty, however, in obtaining these beasts for these purposes. You may have to pluck our your eyes, or, you could run an advertisement in the local paper offering to rent one of them from a blind person. Oh, wait, they won't be able to see the advertisement, will they?

This sounds like a good idea. And when the dog leads you home you can sleep in the doghouse with it because I'm sure your wife wouldn't want you back in the house smelling like booze and drunk as a skunk.
You would want to contact a center for the seeing impaired to find out the actual answer to this question. But opinion-wise... I would say be careful when you go out drinking, you don't want to pass out in the middle of the street and risk yourself, or the seeing eye dog who will stand by your side and probably will cost a pretty penny wind up in a leary situation. Why don't you try a cab, if you're that close, it can't cost too much.
You should call Alcoholic Anonymous cause you have a drinking problem. Seeing Eye dogs are trained and used by legally blind individuals who need assistance performing everyday tasks, not for people who don't know how to say when at a bar. If you get so drunk that you wander into streets and almost get hit by cars you need professional help or need to get hit by a car so you'll learn a lesson.

Try Sparknotes.com or cliffnotes.com or booknotes.com. If that doesn't work, then go to google and type the title and author in and see if you can find a website that gives you a summary or plot of the story. Also you can always go to your local public library's website and type the title of the book in and see if they have any information or studyguides at the library.

it sounds like kashuv (but prob isnt written like that). it was a boundary/border city between hungary and Czechoslovakia during WWII. i dont know if it still exists today, tho thats not the point.

I want it to include specifics on Soho and other hot shopping spots. But, I also want it to discuss and describe unique resturants in the city. So, I guess I just need a well-rounded book. Any Suggestions?Best Guide to New York City?
Here are some ideas of what you can do. First, get a good tour map. Then I recommend you take the BIG APPLE double decker tour bus for an overview of the city. There are several different neighborhoods so I'll highlight these and what to see:
Upper East Side: Metropolitan Museum of Art, Guggenheim, Whitney Museum. Walk up and down Madison Avenue for awesome shops and boutiques 96th - 57th st. Walk Park Avenue for architecture all the way to Grand Central Terminal and see the treasures located within. Walk along 5th Avenue to see/go in and out of Central Park - go for a run, go to the Central Park Zoo, go to the Carousel, go for a gondola ride at the boat house.
UPPER WEST SIDE:
Museum of Natural History -a must! on Central Park West,
Walk along Columbus Avenue. Visit the West side of Central Park and pay respects to John Lennon's Strawberry Fields.
MIDTOWN:
Shopping - 57th St (Chanel and the gang), Fifth Avenue - must see Henri Bendel, Bergdorf Goodman, Saks and FAO Schwartz - many other fun stores.

Actually you can do a lot of reseach on line--or even get books at the library. I would really try and do all your research BEFORE you go so you can work on a list of all the MUST SEE places you can see during your time there.
Instead showing that you're a tourist with your guide book out, buy a student notebook or an address book and put down all the names and addresss of the places you want to see and restaurants you want to enjoy in there. I had everything in a TINY address book and it worked out great!

I know new york has a huge amount of apartments, but the ones with websites seem few and far between. How do you find a ny apartment while you are out of town.Any decent New York City Apartment Guides?

you have to understand, in many other cities and suburbs, apartment complexes are owned by big corporations that do a lot of marketing (such as through websites). it's not like that here. individuals own small buildings, and even when there's a large building and/or a large management company, there's enough demand for apartments that they don't generally need to advertise.
see your wrong in your first statement; New York DOESNT have a huge number of apartments. in fact, our vacancy rate is less than 1%! So please keep this in mind as its strictly a realtor's market in NYC and the prices are kept well into the category of expensive.
however, cheaper places do exist if your willing to either do the leg work, be creative, or just end up using a broker.
Doing the leg work will entail actually walking between apartment buildings and talking to supers to see if any are availible. You can also check out craisglist.org, rent.com, citihabitats.com, %26amp; nycdwellers.com to see what the going rate for what you want is. However these websites generally involve a broker which will charge you an extra 15% of the yearly lease as their commission along with first months rent and security deposit. (so you can see why finding no fee apartments is desired)
There are things such as rent-controlled and rent-stabilized apartments out there, but finding them is usually random as they are quite coveted and typically passed down through families and friends. There is section 8, but i wouldnt recommend it as though the places they offer are newer stock, the neighborhoods they are located in can be sketchy.
In my opinion, the Bronx is the cheapest place to rent, followed by Queens, Staten Island, Brooklyn, and the Manhattan. I dont't know your economic status, but unless you are quite wealthy, the only neighborhoods one can afford in Manhattan are all in upper manhattan (Harlem, Morningside Heights, El Barrio, Washington Heights, Inwood). Most of these neighborhoods are improving tremendously and pretty soon they too will be just as expensive as downtown.

The simplest way is to call up 311, and have them send you a booklet. You can also take the time to search across the nyc.gov webside. The nyc.gov website is something I prefer, especially if you're an attorney.

The simplest way is to call up 311, and have them send you a booklet. You can also take the time to search across the nyc.gov webside. The nyc.gov website is something I prefer, especially if you're an attorney.

When I go out for a night of drinking I don鈥檛 hold back. However, this past weekend I became so intoxicated I was disoriented. Even worse, I had no perception where I was and almost got hit by a car. The bars I go to are pretty much in a 5 to 10 block range and I always walk. So my question is where can I buy or rent a Seeing Eye dog to bring out with me to the bars and most importantly guide me safely home?Can I use a Seeing Eye dog to guide me through busy city streets after a long night of drinking?

Can use a Seeing Eye dog to guide me through busy city streets after a long night of drinking?
When I go out for a night of drinking I don鈥檛 hold back. However, this past weekend I became so intoxicated I was disoriented. Even worse, I had no perception where I was and almost got hit by a car. The bars I go to are pretty much in a 5 to 10 block range and I always walk. So my question is where can I buy or rent a Seeing Eye dog to bring out with me to the bars and most importantly guide me safely home?Can use a Seeing Eye dog to guide me through busy city streets after a long night of drinking?

Shogun Showdown - The PDF Guide suggests parking
the Rhino in the safe house garage, shut the door
and then detonating the Rhino. Conclusion being,
the rhino is spared for you to keep and use. I
found that the Rhino was not spared but in fact
destroyed, however if you park a second vehicle as
so the door will stay open you can detonate the
Rhino. Move the second car (providing it survived)
back into the garage. When you walk out of the
garage and back in both will have regenerated.

Go Faster in a Tank
Many of the tanks go slow when the cannon is
facing the front, so if you want to make it go a
bit more faster put the cannon on the back and
keep shooting it. It is also helpful because when
you are in a mission you can use it to destroy the
enemy faster. Another hint: it also shoots the
cars behind you.

Go Faster in a Tank
Many of the tanks go slow when the cannon is
facing the front, so if you want to make it go a
bit more faster put the cannon on the back and
keep shooting it. It is also helpful because when
you are in a mission you can use it to destroy the
enemy faster. Another hint: it also shoots the
cars behind you.
